"Alpha 1 Acquires Clark Hopper Feeders"
Alpha 1 Induction Service Center an Inductotherm Group Company located in Columbus, Ohio is proud to announce the asset acquisition of Clark Tool & Design a supplier of automated material handling equipment to the metal manufacturing industry since the 1950’s specializing in the supply of hopper feeders utilizing a continuous rotary belt. Combining Clark Tool & Design with Alpha 1 Induction Service Center blend of material handling equipment to the forging industry will offer added advantages to users of automated equipment in today’s material handling market.
"Users Find Alphaform Works Better"
Current users of Alphaform, the new formable induction heating flux field concentrator, have found that Alphaform
works better than machinable types of flux held concentrators. Induction heating concentrators are used to conduct
the magnetic flux around the outside of the work coil and in doing so increase the field on the inside of the work
coil causing the work parts to heat faster.
Alphaform is formed on the work coil and baked in an oven to harden it. Users have found it has lasted a
significantly longer period of time, compared to machinable type's of concentrators and without any sign of
degradations because Alphaform is made with a high temperature aerospace polymer resin. The Alphaform
concentrator being monolithic, one-piece without any seams or gaps, is more efficient than machinable types
of concentrators. This formable monolithic type of concentrator also insures that it is thermal bonded onto
the water cooled copper coil without any gaps or voids.
Alphaform can be installed without waste because only the needed amount of concentrator is used. You can install
Alphaform yourself or the work coil can be sent to Alpha 1 in Columbus, Ohio to have it installed. With this
formable type of concentrator, regardless of the size or shape, the work coil can easily have the benefits of a
flux field concentrator. Typically production can be increased up to 40% when the concentrator is used on a single
turn work coil. An additional benefit of using the concentrator on the work coil is that there will be less variation
in the heating pattern with a change in the power output. Thus, Alphaform concentrators last longer without any
material waste, allowing more parts to be run per hour, while producing a better quality part.
