AlphaLam Punched Shape Concentrators

AlphaLam

Single Shot CoilAlphaLam flux concentrators are punched from steel with a thin layer of glass insulation on its surface for the shape needed. These shapes stacked onto the copper work coil and held in place with keepers and high temperature binder.

AlphaLam flux concentrators provide the highest operating temperature rating and interlamular resistance possible in any type of flux concentrator.

AlphaLam flux concentrators are punched from 0.006” thick lamination steel and are used for frequencies from 1kHz to 10kHz at a maximum continuous operating temperature of 1300 degrees Fahrenheit.

Alpha 1 can manufacture almost any size and shape of AlphaLam flux concentrator. Check out our standard shapes or send us your RFQ with drawings and specifications.

Laminations will operate up to 600ºC (1200ºF), and have the highest permeability. Over time, the insulating layer can degrade at the edges causing two or more laminations to short together creating a hot spot that will spread to adjacent laminations.
